Over the years a new balance of power was met of course. Many players on the global chess board were the same as before Damnation Monday and many were newcomers, but brutal force proved more powerful than ethical standards. Blood flowed and treaties were broken and all scepters changed hands. Crime became the first economy, terrorism the way of negotiate. The eternal losers of the battle, as always, were the civilians.
But the oppressed fought back of course and in 2097 a highly secretive organization was founded, an organization that came to crime and terrorism scenes and did the cleanup job secretly. They were a special forces unit fully equipped with cutting edge technology, eradicating not only the criminals but the incidents themselves as if nothing happened. The members were females with gear carrying the label CG. People have given these ladies the following name. Cyber girls or Cy Girls, Cool Girls. But CG actually stands for Cardinal - Garrison, a mysterious military organization that combats global conspiracies and heinous crime. Although it is unclear whether the group is public or private, it is undeniable that the organization has infiltrated every government and every society on earth. Just how long the group has been around remains a mystery; there are reports of CG activity stretching as far back as World War II.
One of these girls is Aska, a deadly ninja in a very modern society. Aska is extremely mobile. She jumps higher than anybody on two feet and besides that she can moves silently and extremely fast with a grappling hook with which she can reach almost any high place. As we suspect from a ninja, Aska can kill without making a sound and even sometimes slice a person in mid air with her razor-sharp blade. She has many team mates of course, but can often be seen with or near by her CG friend Ice.
