Caren van der Plas

Caren van der Plas born September 17, 1975 in Naarden , The Netherlands. She studied secondary modern school and university and had started a career at Lawyers Borrik, Langevoer & Hansen. Her father was Wilfried Anthonius Arnoldus van der Plas, born 1939 in Zaandam, Holland. He was a general in the Dutch army. At the time her life would take a dramatic turn Caren was engaged with Tom van Santen. One day they crashed their car while having a trip in the Dutch forests and the next day they found themselves miles apart from each other, mixed up in a struggle for power in a world called Zodiak. Initially and for a long time Caren was hold hostage by the powerful Libra. By doing so Libra could manipulate Tom van Santen, who was searching for his Caren. When Tom and Caren at last were reunited the old Zodiak world was destroyed by the comet Chyron and the two just in time escaped to another world, the Zodiak nebula. Here they parted again, more or less voluntarily this time, both to play their own part in rescuing the nebula's future and paving the way to a new Zodiak and, hopefully, a way back home. While in the nebula Caren meets the pirate queen Sylvia, with whom she has a more than superfluous relation. Caren had lost her memory at that time and was called Astrid then.
