She prefers the use of small weapons. Motivated and determined in her work, however, her judgment is questionable. She had three brothers, all older that her. they all, like their father, had a career in law enforcement. When one brother got killed when D'Arci was on her second year in the force. She hunted the killer down and almost killed him.

Stern is just a cop. A rookie at the start of the game. There is some strange supernatural force about evil in the storyline but that's not really important. In many magazine's the game was announced as a Tomb Raider beater. Well, it didn't do that but it sure was a special game.
First of all the city she worked in. There are several areas to explore and they all are huge. There are long streets to patrol, sinister dead-ends. And everywhere empty beer cans litter the street, leafs whirl around you, sheets of paper. If you had the time you could take her on a walk and explore the town. If you were chasing somebody and there was a car nearby you could just take it and rule the city on wheels. There are always civilians on the streets. Things far worse than in the first GTA games happened here.)
Well, large space to explore most games had in these days . But in this Urban Chaos, you could climb on almost any building you could see. You could slide along (telephone) wires from one high building to another. D'Arci climbed ladders like a little monkey. She stuck to the wall as a fly. She had many weapons. She could kill with knives, guns, baseball bats, or just slides their legs from under them, or knock or kick them down and simply arrest them. In one of the street there was a night club she could enter. When you left her on the floor for a few moments she started mimicking the dancers on the floor.
Opponents are tough. But you can outsmart them, sneak on them. Like most characters in most games they can take some lead. But then suddenly another type of guy shows up in the streets. And suddenly you got to face one of them. Instantly you know this is bad. The new killers makes you feel you just met a pale rider out of a Clint Eastwood film. And before you know he draws his gun, fires one shot and down you go. This game has a lot of excitement.
These kind of games seldom have more than one main character the same time on screen. It's obvious you can only control one. But in this game you sometimes have to rescue somebody and when you do that you have to guide that person back to the station, straight across town. It's hilarious to see how the rescued fellow follows D'Arci, mimicking all her movement, standing up to watch or to shoot, hide, crawl. Like a shadow who can be shot. Beautiful game.
When you have finished a busy day with Stern knocking down enemies, for hours her words rings through your ears, Pok, You're arrested
