Diablo Amazon

<<<  Index  >>>

This powerful woman warrior belongs to nomadic bands who roam the plains near the South Sea. The wandering of these groups often brings them into conflict with other peoples, so the Amazon is accustomed to fighting to defend her own. This lifestyle has made her fiercely independent and able to weather severe hardship and travel. While her skill with the bow rivals and even surpasses that of the Rogues, the Amazon is also adept in the use of spears and javelins, as well as in hand to hand combat. The Amazon is much sought after as a mercenary, in which type of service she will be loyal as long as her own ends are also served. (official character info)

In the game series Diablo there are ten playable characters, from which four are female, and as in many games, without name. You have to give them a name yourself. This Rogue is from the first Diablo game. In the second game you can play with this Amazon and the sorceress and in the Diablo II expansion pack there is also the female assassin.

If you played the first Diablo game with the rogue it's likely you play this second game with the Amazon. She uses the same weapons, can master many skills and spells and just looks good. The game is basically the same as the first game, but much larger. The amount of weapons and armor you can find or buy is probably limitless and I think there is also no limit in the building of power and skills for your character.
Both the Rogue and the Amazon are very skilled with the bow. Because of that they never really have to get involved in hand to hand combat. You can of course buy her a steel armor but then she looks like a robot and then there is no point in playing with the fragile Amazon instead of one of the male characters. But as I said, in this light weight armor shown here she has to keep  out of the crowd. She can manage very well with her bow but as soon she walks in to a dead end or a corridor she had not cleared yet so enemies close in on her from both side, they just beat her to death.
