| For
generations the family name Bertinelli is tight to Gotham City.
Crime was their business. Heavy, brutal organized crime. Her father was Guido Bertinelli,
one of the worst. But although crime was his trade and that of his family
he didn't wanted his daughter Helena to enter that same trade. And perhaps
he would have succeeded if he had been given enough time. But when
Helena was only six years old all of her close relatives were killed by
another criminal family. Helena Rosa Bertinelli is orphan now and is
raised by others. On side of her, her daily side, is shy and friendly. She is a teacher English. But her other side, her night side, is quite the opposite. She is obsessed by one thing. Revenge. Hunting the murderers of her parents down is what she wanted, the Huntress is what she became. She isn't shy in the night, she fights with ancient weapons, being a master with the crossbow, and in the end, she tracks them all down and kills them. She doesn't stop when the murderers of her family are dead but gets of fighting other mobs too. She's not alone in Gotham City though. It's of course the place where the famous crime fighter, the dark knight, the Batman, resides. The two are not enemies, nor real allies because Batman doesn't like the brutal ways the Huntress does her job. She also had a brief encounter with Ling, better known as Lynx |
