Bond is a young sophisticated secret agent of the World police.
That's about all we know about her. Her chief is Colonel Merrill. As most
secret agents do, she flies her own jet and about everything she wears and
has on her is a disguised gadget. Her lipstick is a transmitter, her
hairbrush is a tracking device, her puff-box contains smoke-powder, her
coat has a steel coil that can strangle a man, and so on, and so on. Jane
probably has a brother who is a secret agent too. But either she and her
brother are not on speaking terms with each other or she thinks it's
unsafe to ever talk about relatives. Fact is she never mentions him and
he, a man called James, never ever has talked about her. She has a
biographer, somebody who has written down a number of her adventures. But
because knowing too much in this business usually means big trouble, his
or her name is kept secret too. |
