Age 29, height 5'2", Asian Martyr Kassandra Cheyung was born in a very rich family, who owned the Fairday Manufacturing Company. She had no brothers or sisters, so money never was a problem. For years she led a life of parties, fun and emptiness. She had a friend Marnie. While at a barn rave, the police busted in. Dozens of youngsters fled the place, running over Kassandra who tried to get Marnie safe. Kassandra was hurt pretty severe and was brought to a hospital. Being forced to stay in bed for a while she had time to reflect the current events as well as to think about the life she had led up until now. She found a new goal and started working at the hospital in the critical care ward, cheering up the patients with her enthusiasm. Not much later she and Marnie went to Ashcroft. In the prison there the man, a drugsdealer was held who had left her injured in the rave. While at the penitentiary she witnessed the execution of a convicted murderer named Nathaniel Arkady. He was to face the end in the electric chair. At that moment her life, and that of others, drastically changed forever. It seems that, with the electrocution of Arkady, a portal to a very dark place was opened. Spirits, imprisoned in the prison, poured out and started taken over any living body in the prison. Any living body but four. Maybe it was luck, or perhaps is was the outcome of a hidden plan. But four people in that big prison, two women, Kassandra Cheyung and Samantha Alexander and two men were immune for the threat. Because they saw. They saw and were able to react. They were able to knock back the insane event and seal and secure the prison. They should have burnt or bomb the place however, but at that time, sealing it seemed enough. Years later prove came that the sealed off prison was still a threat. A rave is held at the prison to celebrate the execution, and this reopens the portal, setting the demons loose on the town. The same four characters, known simply as hunters, return to finish the job they started. Since these events Cheyung has become a devastating monster fighter and a reliable squad mate, tearing the undead apart with her speed, agility, and pairs of daggers and pistols. As a Martyr, she is dedicated to protecting the innocent at all costs, including her own safety. Her edges reflect this, sometimes equally distributing the damage she inflicts between herself and her enemies. Two years later she and the other hunters had to return to Ashcroft again to wipe out new hordes of monsters, created or set loose by a cult. And then, five years later, the Genefex Corporation settles in the city, cleaning up the streets, building new houses and created jobs. Well paid jobs. And somehow new zombies and other creatures were back also. And again the Hunters moved in, this time with a fifth member, the young Kaylie Winter, who was at Ashcroft when she was eight, at the time of the execution of Nathaniel Arkady. |
