Princess
Maï Lin is the youngest daughter of the King
of Linf-Ame Lun Lao. The capitol, situated on the planes of Zhang Ho,
where the palace is, is called the City of the five Destinies. The city
seems friendly from a distance and so does the land. But the years in
which Maï Lin lives are dark ages in which
evil creatures and dark forces still can be summoned from the debts of fiery
hell and pitch dark blackness. In fact the lands are inhabited not only by
people, but also by many inhuman creatures.
Obviously Maï Lin was destined to get
married by somebody chosen by her parents. And again obviously, Maï
Lin resented that thought. She often went secretly to the taverns
in the back streets of the town and one day she met a young Katan, a
barbarian prince named Sarok Khan. They fell for each other, they fought
in little fights side by side and they knew they lived in two different
worlds where she was a princess and he was just a barbarian. Even when he
proves to be a real hero and saves the land from great danger, he is
denied his reward, denied the hand of Maï Lin.
Filled with anger and hatred he leaves the town, searching for revenge and
making a lot of enemies.
Maï Lin leaves town too, searching for her
hero. She meets a band of female warriors who are fighting for there own
cause. They tell Maï
Lin that Sarok is killed by forest demons, their enemies too. Or
rather their prey. And that they are pursuing the
murderers. Maï Lin obviously joins them. She
learns
a great many skills from these women and cannot wait to one day revenge
her Sarok.
But no action stands alone, as we all know. The leaving of Maï
Lin had terrible implications for both the girl that helped her
flee as we’ll as the girl that was given to the son of Larkh. One cannot
move in this world without stirring the events in its vicinity. A war
broke out between Larkh and the city of the five Destinations, a whole
army went after Maï Lin and her parents were
killed. Maï became a fearless and extremely skillful
Amazon warrior, but in each victim she killed she saw the face of her
loved one and each breath of air reminded her of the scent of her Sarok.
She was unbeaten in war but beaten in her heart. Worst of all was that
Sarok was not dead at all. If she had gone after him, she might have found
him. But luckily for her she didn't know that.
She committed suicide with her own sword eventually. She died with the
lover she never had in her mind |
