Min-Draļ
lived and probably was born in the kingdom Abiti on Kelhin. The
ruler was the benevolent despot Ten Rau. The Abiti's were technologically
and cultural very advanced on their world. Still the kingdom was attacked
by an army of Viks when Min Draļ was a young woman and after a bloody
war, defeated. All Abiti's were murdered and the battlefield was covered
with bodies of dead and wounded. Among them was the young
Min-Draļ who did survived and was overlooked by the Viks when they
ransacked the battlefield after the war to kill the wounded. Hidden she overheard
a conversation between a human and the leaders of the Viks. And so she
learned that the human had led the Viks to victory because he needed their
help in finding the last fruitful female. It seemed that his human race
was, long ago, defeated in a war too, a war that had left most women
infertile. Determined to kill him and the woman he was searching for, Min-Draļ
decided to join his party and to help him in his quest.
She proves herself to be a fearless and formidable warrior with bow and
sword. With the others she fought her way across hostile countries,
killed deadly animals, got poisoned, was beaten up and in the end they
reached the island they were heading for. By then the feelings of hatred
towards the man Talian had turned into affection. |
