| The
roots of Ororo Munroe go back to the early days of mankind in Africa. All
women in this strigt line have silver white hair, light blue eyes and
latent mutant or supernatural powers. Ororo was born in Manhatten. Her
mother, N'Dare was a Kenyan pricess and het father, David a photographer.
When she was six month old the family moved to Cairo, Egypt. Five or six
years later an armed conflict broke out during which their home was
destroyed and her parents killed. When the little girl dared to oepn her
eyes she realized she was buried under the walls of her house, next to her
mother. Ororo never fully got over that experience and always kept
suffering from claustrophobia. Homeless and orphaned Ororo stayed alive on the streets of Cairo for a while, until she was picked up by Achmed El-Gibar, who had a gang of children steal for him. Under his guidance Ororo became a master thief herself. Later, as a teenager, she went back to the land of her ancestors in Africa, where her mother came from. There she learned to use the powers who had lain dormant in her up until now. Whit these powers she was able to control the weather and this was a true gift in this hot and dry part of the world. Later Ororo Munroe was asked to join the X-men. She did and even became the leader of the group. Her alias then was Storm. |

| Other excavations in to the past or Ororo Munroe tells another story however. About the loss of her parents it says that during a storm the ship that carried Ororo and her parents N'Dare Munroe, a princess from Kenya and David Munroe, a journalist, wrecked and all passengers on board drowned, except Ororo. She was rescued by the amazon queen Hippolyta of Themyscira. She had a daughter Diana of Themyscira and the two girl grew up together. Hippolyta and her team sensed strange powers hidden in the mortal human Ororo and there on Paradise Island she could develop them. As Diana did, she, Ororo took the role of Wonder Woman for a while. | |||
