In her dragon shape she is almost invincible and exactly like legends tell about the legendary dragons. Including the obsession for beautiful things, the drive to obtain treasuries, the need to sleep on gold and silver. To fulfill these needs she uses her human form, because in her human form she is a beautiful dark woman, irresistible for men. She makes contact with men as only beautiful women can and lures them to the cave where she has her lair. Sometimes she kills her victim, sometimes she don't. She always takes his gold. She often operated from the old inn Serpent's Touth.
Among her treasuries was a centuries old sword called Serpent's Bane, forged centuries ago and tempered with dragon's blood. It's the only sword dragons can't resist nor destroy. Gareth, companion of Arwyn then, took this sword and used until he died.
Shiara played a key role in the quest of gathering the five fragments of Ayden's arrow by rescuing Arwyn and Gareth when they were wounded and outnumbered by Mordath's trolls.
