2028, Pasadena, department of space research. Space exploration is developed to keep the aliens away from earth. The space ships are manned with machines because it is believed there is no use for a human in space. Except for robot Mark, the only intelligence on board. Some say the fleet was a hoax, some say it was a political game, some say they had to keep aliens away from earth. The real history is buried in miles of files and probably stays buried. But the aliens came anyway. They came with peaceful intentions, but they were the cause of conflicts between the lands of the earth an then on between earth and the aliens Sonja Roykim is a pilot in 2100 in the war against the aliens, the Breakers. She piloted a Blackbolt 209. In 2117 she lost her officer Geordie when his artillery compartment on the plane was struck by bullets during the fight for Buenos Aires. That same year Sonja crashed with her Blackbold and her new crew, as a result of trying to survive an ambush. Sonja and her crewmen, Dwight Parker and the brand new 2nd lieutenant Vicky Sheimer crash landed somewhere south of Rio Orinoco. By chance the team met the enemy in the person of Ypsar, an important ambassador of the interstellar network of the Breakers. He was on a mission to end the war and in fact the battle in which the fighter from Sonja was shot down was one of the last fights of the war.  Shortly after, Sonja, the last fighting soldier of the war, met Robot Mark, the first soldier who was launched 79 years earlier to form the first line of defense in space. it is believed the two of them got along pretty well
