Sonya

Sonya guided and escorted the Earthling Tom van Santen across the sea from the small island Ligtvaer on the east coast of the Zodiak nebula to the Forgotten Island down in the south. Although she isn't a great warrior and takes live as easy as she can, she still is a capable fighter who managed to save Tom van Santen on several occasions. Tom was the carrier of the Fethera, a feather loaded with magic and a vital artifact for the future of Zodiak. During their voyage Sonya developed warm feelings for Tom and for a while it seemed these feelings were mutual. She couldn't compete with Tom's first love Caren though. Her most important hour came when she and Tom reached the end of their journey. Her actions resulted in the fall of the evil forces in the Zodiak nebula and in the same time, whether it was a calculation based on jealousy or not, prevented the reunion of Tom and Caren.

Powerful women who played an important role in the era at the end of the old Zodiak and the beginning of the new are Caren van der Plas, Bob Karn, Ellis D'Ari, Eenoog, Helda, Syrella, Sylvia, Sonya
