Thyra the Valkyrie

Thyra is one of a bunch of four warriors who were destined to battle maze after maze and dungeon after dungeon filled with monsters, demons, lobbers, grunts, acid pools and ghosts. And more. On the way they collect treasures and food and drinks, some of which is poisoned. Thyra is strong and has a very effective shield that protects her. She is armed with a sword and she is damn good with it. She also has a bow or a sling, but she never mastered that weapon very well. And as most valkyries she can use some magic as well.
In the years the adventures of Thyra the Valkyrie were brought to the public, computers weren't able to produce a moving character that really looked like a character. Let alone give them a face. So we don't really know what Thyra looked like. The only pictures of her are the ones crafted on the box that held the game. The last two pictures are from the first two games.
There is a book written about her and her companion, nut oddly enough Thyra is called Layla there. Has probably to do with ancient copyright rules
